History of Sibyllans

Sibyllans was founded in 1916 by coffee enthusiast Hilmer Hansson.

Originally located on Skeppargatan Street in Stockholm, by 1918 it was already located on the current Östermalmstorg Street.

Hilmer, along with his two brothers Sixten and Wilhelm, focused on roasting and selling coffee until coffee rationing became widespread in Sweden after World War II.

Birth of Sir Williams

The Sibyllans also start selling tea.

Around that time, Hilmer invented Sir Williams, which quickly became a popular tea blend. It is one of the store's signature products and still has many fans.

The blend is named after his brother Wilhelm.

Sir Williams, with its smoky and deep flavor, is a blend of seven types of Chinese tea leaves with a touch of Lapsang Souchong and Earl Grey.

An intellectual blend perfect for a relaxing tea time.

Its unique and unique taste has captivated Swedish tea lovers.
